Peer Review Policy

The International Journal of Special and General Education (IJSGE) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and integrity of all published manuscripts.

1. Initial Screening

  • Each submission is evaluated by the editorial team for relevance, originality, and compliance with journal guidelines.

  • Manuscripts that do not meet basic standards may be rejected without external review.

2. Double-Blind Review

  • Both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process.

  • Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

  • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

    • Originality

    • Methodological rigor

    • Ethical standards

    • Significance of findings

    • Clarity and presentation

3. Reviewer Recommendations

Reviewers may recommend one of the following:

  • Accept

  • Minor revision

  • Major revision

  • Reject

4. Revision Process

  • Authors are required to respond to reviewers’ comments point-by-point.

  • Revised manuscripts may undergo additional rounds of review if necessary.

5. Editorial Decision

  • Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer reports and editorial judgment.

  • Decisions are unbiased and based solely on merit.

6. Misconduct & Ethics

  • Suspected plagiarism, data manipulation, or ethical violations will be investigated following COPE guidelines.

  • Manuscripts with serious ethical issues will be rejected.
