Curbing Cultism In Nigerian Tertiary Institutions: The Mass Media Imperative

Abstract

Higher institutions all over the world are supposed to be citadel of learning in Academics an Character. However the individuals that are involved in this learning process are usually involved in this evil act of cultism. It is common in Nigerian Higher institutions and the Nigerian government have tired to stop the menace this paper focus on the attributes of cultists, cult groups, strategies to curb cultism and the rule of mass communication to eradicate or reduce the tide to the barest minimum  The paper concluded by making recommendations on curbing cultism in Nigeria tertiary institutions.
